Differences Between Pampers Pure vs Pampers Swaddlers
Sizes
Pampers Swaddlers has Preemie sizes while Pampers Pure doesn’t.
Pampers Pure has sizes starting at Newborn up to Size 7.
While Pampers Swaddlers has Preemie sizes, Newborn sizes up to Size 7 as well.
Absorbency
Both diapers are dissapointing when it comes to absorbing wetness, at least in my test absorbency video below.
I was expecting Pampers Swaddlers to be a lot more absorbent than Pampers Pure since it has generally a lot of positive reviews from tons of parents.
So I was a bit dissapointed to see how it fared on my absorbency tests.
It’s as if there’s no much difference between the two when it comes to absorbing wetness! At least in my test video.
Some parents mentioned that they don’t experience any diaper leaks with either Pampers Pure or Swaddlers diapers.
While other parents say that it’s an absolute diaper blowout nightmare to use either diaper.
Pampers Swaddlers though have more positive reviews than Pampers Pure.

Price
Pampers Pure is more expensive than Pampers Swaddlers.
I would say Swaddlers is fairly priced while Pampers Pure is just way pricier.
Pampers Swaddlers vs Pampers Pure: Similarities
Comfort
Pampers Pure and Pampers Swaddlers offer more or less the same amount of softness.
Pampers Pure though is marketed as a “non-toxic diaper” with gentler, plant-based materials, compared to Pampers Swaddlers.
But I didn’t really see or feel that much difference when it comes to the “softness” of these diapers.
Both are not cottony soft but they are soft and well padded enough for your baby.
Both also have a strong baby powder smell.
Or at least the ones I’ve tested have that smell. I never noticed it in my other related diaper reviews.
I’ve read a mixed bag of feedback regarding the softness and comfort of both diapers.
Some parents are saying both are soft, while others have complained about how either one has caused diaper rashes and irritation to their babies.
There are more diaper rash complaints about Pampers Swaddlers than Pampers Pure. Although, Pampers Swaddlers has more reviews than Pampers Pure so take note of that.
Size and Fit
Both diapers have an adequate stretch to it.
I tested size 3 diapers for both and its stretchiness seems adequate for its size – it’s just not super stretchy.
I also find that both don’t have a super stretchy leg opening.
Both look massive, but Pampers Swaddlers is slightly stretchier at the back than Pampers Pure.
BUT lots of parents like how flexible both diapers are, and can fit a skinny baby, tall ones and even those with chunky thighs.
Both don’t have the stickiest of tabs.
So if you have a very wild, curious baby, who loves opening up their very full diaper, you might be in trouble!
Design
Can’t say much about both diapers’ designs as it’s pretty minimal.
Unlike Honest or Hello Bello, both Pampers Swaddlers and Pampers Pure have a pretty basic, simple design.
Both don’t even have any “front” or “back” signs, unlike Huggies diapers.

Pampers Pure vs Pampers Swaddlers: Which Is Better?
Price-wise, Pampers Swaddlers is better as it’s fairly priced than Pampers Pure.
But when it comes to absorbency (based on my test video), softness, stretchiness, there’s not much of a different between Pampers Pure and Pampers Swaddlers.
Except that Pure is marketed as an eco-friendly diaper.
I’ve tested the size 3 diapers of both and both don’t have the softest of liners, not as stretchy and based on my test video, both don’t have excellent absorbency feature.
So I’d say try them out first.
Get small pack of both diapers and see how it works for your baby. Your baby might have a different reaction and you might eventually like either diaper.
