Legs

There’s a minor and major difference between the legs of the Babyletto Gelato vs Hudsons.

First off, Gelato’s straight, whereas the Hudson’s are angled. That’s a minor difference.

The major difference is the Gelato’s legs are removable.

That’s right! You can use it without the legs and use it right on the floor! Even better when you convert it into a toddler bed!

Both the Babyletto Gelato and Babyletto Hudson crib carry the GREENGUARD GOLD certificate.

Both cribs also meet ASTM International and U.S. CPSC safety standards and have non-toxic finishings and are free from lead and phthalate.

Height/ Weight Limit 

Both cribs have a height limit of 35 inches or when your baby starts climbing out of their crib, whichever comes first.

The Babyletto mattress is hypoallergenic and measures 52″ L x 27.75″ W.

If you’re getting a used crib, remember to check its manufacturing date that’s under or on the crib’s side.

I’m actually surprised that the Gelato crib is not as popular as the Hudson.

It’s as stylish as the Hudson, it also has 4 mattress height levels. And is cheaper and it even comes with a removable leg, which shorter parents can take advantage of.

I guess it’s a matter of taste then? Who knows. Nevertheless, you can’t go wrong with choosing between the Babyletto Gelato or Hudson crib.
