Specs
The 4moms Mamaroo bassinet measures 34″L x 24″ W x 39″H and weighs 30.6 lbs/ 13.8kg.
It can accommodate a weight of 30.5 lbs but it’s not recommended to use when your baby is starting to roll or is starting to sit up on their own, unassisted.
This suits small babies but if you have a chunky, large, tall one, this might not be a great comfortable bassinet for them.
I’ve seen some reviews from parents saying that they only managed to use this for 2-3 months on their big babies.
Safety
The mesh side allows you to easily check on your baby without having to get up from your bed.
And it has a firm flat, thin bassinet mattress, which is typical, that not a lot of parents are a fan of.
But it’s necessary for safety reasons.
Anyway, it doesn’t have any special swaddle to keep your baby in place, like the SNOO.

But most parents find it safe and snug for their baby.
Although I’ve read 2 incidents where the parents said that, for some reason, their 4moms bassinet tilted to one side.
And they found their baby smashed into the side of the bassinet.

It has an auto 4-hour shut-off setting, which can be quite jarring for both parents and their babies as it will just suddenly stop working after 4 hours.
It doesn’t even do it gradually or slowly – it just stops.
Which wakes up some babies of course, as they’re going to get used to the motion!
I mean really 4moms, can you make it gradually stop at least?
Its soothing features, well specifically, its motor actually, have some mixed reviews from parents.
Some find it super useful and their babies could really sleep well in the bassinet.
But for some parents, the bassinet makes a screeching sound or clicking noise, loud enough to wake up their baby.
This is alarming since that could be a sign that its motor isn’t working properly.
